Description:
Pinuaga is a family owned estate, with experience in the wine industry for over 200 years. They have regained cultural heritage and traditional ethnic values of Castillian winemaking. They are devoted with a passion to the creation of wines with a singular taste and style: the synthesis of modernity and tradition. Corral de Almaguer, is a privileged site in the province of Toledo. Autochthonous grape varieties such as Tempranillo reflect the personality of their one-of-a-kind “terroir". A collection of distinct wines that reveal the unique personality of our land and the characteristics of the grape varieties. Long lived well structured wines, with a perfect balance between fruit and oak. Elegant and sensual with a highly distinguished image... reflecting the spirit of their concept. They have the most beautiful vineyard: 40 hectares of Tempranillo (35 years old). Many of their vines are Pie Franco or un-grafted vines (some of very few in the region). The climate here is Continental, ideal for grape growing, with pronounced changes in day/night temperatures (10-15 ºC) that favor the production of aromas and ensure the quality of their wines. Their soils are loose and mainly clay-limestone and they focus on sustainable agriculture, using only natural products in their viticulture. The landscape of vineyards is surrounded by Mediterranean forest, a rare protected bird species. The production of Bodegas Pinuaga is very limited. This is what we call a "boutique winery".
