Daniel Woolsey
Chef Danny Woolsey, a native of Maui, Hawaii, founded Ekahi Grill in Gypsum, Colorado, bringing authentic Hawaiian cuisine to the Rockies. His culinary journey began under the guidance of his grandfather, who taught him to blend ingredients by taste rather than precise measurements. Before establishing Ekahi Grill, Woolsey worked in the construction industry but continued to nurture his culinary passion by cooking at home and catering events. In 2011, he opened Ekahi Grill and Catering, offering traditional Hawaiian dishes to the community.  Woolsey’s children have also ventured into the food industry, each starting their own food-focused ventures, further expanding the family’s culinary legacy.
