Five Favorite Spring Events in Vail This Year

During the months of March and April, spring skiing is accompanied by sunshine and soft snow. In addition, there are a number of great events happening on-mountain and throughout Vail Village to celebrate the change of seasons, the love of winter sports and the Vail lifestyle. If you’re looking to plan your next Vail vacation, here are some upcoming events to consider:
- Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships – March 2-7 The world’s best snowboarders come together to take part in the longest running, premier snowboarding event presented by MINI. Enjoy halfpipe and slopestyle competitions performed by elite athletes as well as concerts, events, demos and more.
- Pink Vail – March 21 The world’s biggest, pinkest ski party has raised more than $1 million to benefit the “Spirit of Survival” program at Shaw Regional Cancer Center. This unique survivorship program offers all cancer patients and survivors at Shaw the opportunity to receive free exercise training, nutrition coaching, emotional support, outdoor adventures, a nurse navigator, massages, integrative treatments and much more. Shaw Regional Cancer Center is a service of Vail Valley Medical Center – a nonprofit hospital since 1965.
- Vail Film Festival – March 26-29 A four-day event that enlightens and entertains thousands of attendees and offers a creative outlet to the film world’s emerging storytellers and innovators. Presented by the Colorado Film Institute, the Vail Film Festival activities include film screenings, panel discussions, live music, nightly galas, and the filmmaker reception.
The 25th Anniversary of Taste of Vail – April 8-11 Rated among the top food and wine festivals by Forbes, Travel Channel and USA Today, Taste of Vail is held at several different venues throughout Vail. In addition to the new seminars offered during the Taste of Vail, the event will include, the 2nd Annual Debut of 2014 Rosé, the American Lamb Cook-off and Après Ski Tasting, the Mountain Top Picnic and the Grand Tasting. Taste of Vail is the nation’s only event that invites dozens of winemakers and owners from all over the world to pour wine and interact with participants.- Spring Back to Vail – April 17-19 Vail Mountain ends the season in style with the biggest end-of-season bash in the Rocky Mountains complete with free concerts, the infamous World Pond Skimming Championships, Bud Light après after-dark parties, base area giveaways, and so much more!
