
The School of Seminars at Taste of Vail

From March 30th – April 3rd, Taste of Vail will host unique seminars ranging in subjects from cigars, to wines, to olive oil. You’ll walk out of each far more educated than you were before.
Six Seminars are currently available for purchase on the website:
Cigar and Spirits Sampling
Thursday, March 31 | 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m
Location: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Pool
Cost: $60
Participants have an opportunity to sample handcrafted cigars with a variety of tobacco blends.
What Puts the Pop inside of Sparkling Wine?
Friday, April 1 | 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Location: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail
Cost: $55
Sparkling wine is having its moment in the sun. Gone are the days when bottles of bubbly were saved for special occasions. Sparkling wines’ light and cleansing palates make them the perfect accompaniment to a variety of dishes. “What Puts the Pop” educates participants on where the name “champagne” comes from, what is it with the bubbles and more. A must for anyone who loves to make toasts!
Wake up and Smell the Rosé
Saturday, April 2 | 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Join representatives from Chateau D’ Esclans to tour the nuances of rosé wine. The differences range from subtle, to extreme. Learn which grape varieties make up this delightful type of wine and see wine paired with breakfast selections.
Real Olive Oil with Steve Lewis

Steve Lewis from Giuliana Imports returns once again for this popular seminar that explores the origins of olive oil, what is pure olive oil and the health benefits of the internationally popular product. Taste the difference between spicy, peppery and rich olive oils.
Speed Dating with Pinot Noir
Saturday, April | 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Set the timer! “Speed Dating” sets you up with Taste of Vail winemakers, who will move from table-to-table, introducing their wine to you in seven minutes or less. All of the fun and none of the commitment. Find out about the challenging journey of the pinot noir grape, as it is widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world, from cultivation to wine. After, impress your friends with your newfound knowledge.
Pair with the Masters
Saturday, April 2 | 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Taste of Vail connectis concessioners with experts, and this session is no exception. Meet some of the best, most intriguing Master Sommeliers, while they pair food with wine. – Larry Stone founder of Lingua Franca Wines and Dean of Wine Studies of the International Culinary Center, Damon Ornowski from SWS of Colorado and Vail’s own Sean Razee.
