Assistant Winemaker Alana Fontaine

St Innocent Winery | Jefferson, Oregon |

Alana discovered her passion for wine while doing a study abroad in France in 2005. During the summer of 2009, she moved from Connecticut in order to pursue a career in the wine industry. Having completed the WSET Intermediate and Advanced wine education courses prior to her move, she was seeking an opportunity to participate in winemaking.

She joined St. Innocent Winery in 2010 after working a few harvests in Oregon and New Zealand. She was recently promoted to Assistant Winemaker in the spring of 2018, after working 6 harvests with Mark. She also travels nationally to sell wine, works as part of our social media team and helps cook for special events.

When she is not busy working, you will find her on the tennis court or in the kitchen cooking and baking.

St. Innocent is a well-established (1988) and prestigious maker of Pinot noir with a winery based in Jefferson, Oregon. The winemaker, Mark Vlossak, makes age worthy, vineyard-designated Pinot noirs from leased vineyards. Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling round out the white varietals.
