Zachary Barlow Smith is 3rd generation grape grower within the Barlow vineyards family. From a young age, he started learning about life in the vineyard and the daily work that goes into all four seasons of farming vineyards. After high school, he attended Fort Lewis College in southern Colorado graduating with a degree in Marketing and Sales. Zach left Colorado heading back to the Napa Valley where he worked a vintage with Black Stallion winery as a cellar hand. Zach then moved down to New Zealand where he found himself back in the vineyards at Rippon winery. After a stay in the southern hemisphere, he moved back to the Napa Valley where he worked as a tasting room associate at Tudal Family Winery. During this time, he went through levels 1 and 2 of the WSET Certification and is currently working towards level 3. After a period working in the tasting room, he moved to Denver Colorado where he worked on the retail side of the wine industry furthering his education in the world of wine. In September 2017 Zach moved back to Calistoga and took a new role with the family business as Brand Ambassador National Sales Representative.
