Chef Mauricio Leal began his career in the kitchen of the Cafe des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta, doing his professional internship before being able to enter the prestigious Gregoire Ferrandi school in Paris.
After his studies in Paris, he had a stay in one of the most traditional restaurants of French cuisine, La Closerie de Lillas, where he learned the importance of the classic bases of cooking.
He returned to Puerto Vallarta and started working in the Four
Seasons Hotel in Punta Mita, later he partnered in the catering company called Personal Chef. In 2017 he founded ICU\', a modern Mexican restaurant. ICU\' was named best new restaurant in Mexico
by Food and Travel magazine and it\'s been part of the guide the 250 best Restaurants in Mexico from 2021 to 2023.
Chef Mauricio will be participating in all 4 Signature Events at this year's Taste of Vail
