New Seminars Announced for 29th Annual Taste of Vail Food & Wine Festival

Vail, Colo., February 13, 2019--The Taste of Vail, announced seminars today as part of its 2019 event taking place April 3-6, 2019 in the heart of Vail, Colorado. As one of the nation's top food and wine festivals, it is one of the few events in the country that invites dozens of winemakers and owners from all over the world to pour wine and interact with participants.

The Taste of Vail develops a series of new seminars each year designed to help food and wine enthusiasts expand their knowledge in entertaining and interactive sessions. For 2019, the seminars include a global focus that highlights some of the best winemaking regions of the world.

"The seminars for The 2019 Taste of Vail are one of our best years yet and represent a worldwide tasting and learning experience that brings together exciting food and wine combinations," said Angela Mueller, Taste of Vail Director. Corsica with Lyle Railsback and Brett Zimmerman

Understanding Sustainably, Organic and Conventional Viticulture in Napa Valley

Please join Winemaker and Vineyard Manager Mark Neal from Neal Vineyards, Braiden Albrecht, Winemaker at famous Mayacamas Winery and Mike Reynolds from Hall Wines to learn about the difference in Farming Methods and taste six different vintages from three of Napa Valley's most highly acclaimed producers. Topics of discussion will be the difference in viticultural approaches throughout the Napa Valley and a tasting of wines spanning 14 years.

It's all Greek to Me

We're taking you on a trip through Greece, an ancient birthplace of wine. Join Ted Diamantis, owner and founder and probably the most knowledgeable mind for Greek wine in the business to help decode the country, its wines and the pronunciation of a handful of wines that will surprise your taste buds.

Discovering Santa Barbara with Author and Sommelier Rajat Parr, Master Sommelier Will Costello, and Winemaker from Scar of the Sear, Michael Brughelli

Famous Sommelier, Author of several books and star in the movie Somm 3, Rajat Parr, is joined by Master Sommelier Will Costello of Bien Nacido Vineyards and Winemaker of Scar of the Sea, Michael Brughelli to lead through a tasting of Santa Barbara Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This is a must attend seminar of some of America's best minds in wine.
The group will discuss Santa Barbara's unique climate and explain some of the different appellations within Santa Barbara County and argue why Santa Barbara should be considered one of the best places in the world to grow grapes in.

The Pursuit of Premier Cru Status in Burgundy's Pouilly Fuisse

Pouilly Fuisse has been a household name in the wine world for decades and it is well on the way to clear the final hurdle of designating its finest vineyards to 1er Cru status.
Joseph Burrier of Chateau Beauregard along with Wilson Daniels Imports Education Director William Davis, representing the Pouilly Fuisse Estate of Roc de Boutires, will lead through a seminar on the famous region of Pouilly Fuisse in Burgundy. The panel will be moderated by Master Sommelier Jesse Becker from Chicago.
