Quivira Vineyards has been family owned and a leader of organic / biodynamic farming since 1981. Currently all estate vineyards are certified CCOF and are planted to Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc and a broad selection of Rhone varieties. Located at the southern end of Dry Creek Valley, Quivira produces world class wines that are known for their hallmark acidity and balance. Winemaker Hugh Chappelle has been a pioneer in both wine growing techniques such as phased harvesting as well as the use of Acacia wood cooperage for the fermentation and maturation of Sauvignon Blanc. This has placed Quivira wines on the Wine Spectator Top 100 two out of the past three years! Highly respected locally, Quivira is seen as a heritage brand and a leader in farming/winemaking techniques. Outside of Sonoma, Quivira is one of the most highly rated wineries of the region.
